more thunder storms and a flash flood and some hail

We can't catch a break mother nature is pounding us hard. As soon as it dries up we get more rain on 7-27-08 got 4.75 inches of rain filled the dogs bowls to the top. Every thing went back to flood stage again. filled every pond and slough to the gill's. The water went down fast need to thank every one in the Sny Island Levee Drainage District for that. 8-2-08 most of are water is gone started to plant duck plots hope to continue this for the next few weeks. will need to replant some deer plots that got flooded out. have several nice bucks on camera picture's to follow on web page soon. Three buck's in the 165'' class and several nice 140''+. thinking of having a big buck contest stay tuned for the rules.

the big flood of 2008

well our farm is very wet but the leeve held back the mighty mississippi river. thanks everyone up and down river for your man power it was amazing to watch people pull together as a team.

mississippi river

the weather this spring has been a big factor. it has rained hard all around us causing the river to remain high making it impossiable to get crops and deer and bird food plots in. half of the ones that got planted got flooded out and need to be replanted. bummer
